Who invented the ollie?
Alan Gelfand, in Florida in the late 1970s. The trick carries his nickname, and Rodney Mullen later adapted it to flat ground, which opened up street skating.

Urethane. It replaced the clay and steel wheels of the 1960s in the early 1970s and gave boards far more grip and a smoother roll.
