25 Fresh and Stylish Golf Outfits for Women This Spring

Spring is the trickiest season to dress for on a golf course. You tee off at eight in something close to winter clothing and by the eleventh hole you are carrying half of it. I have left more jumpers on more benches in April than in the rest of the year put together.
So everything below is built in layers you can actually shed, and in the colours that suit the light this time of year: pastels, fresh greens, soft florals. Nothing here is heavy. If a cold snap catches you out, the full coverage outfits cover a lot of the same ground with more insulation, and once it warms up properly the tournament edit takes over.
One practical note that has nothing to do with style: spring grass is wet grass. Whatever you wear on the bottom half will pick up the course, so this is not the season for white unless you are playing in the afternoon. Comfortable shoes matter more than usual too, and our guide to the best golf apparel is worth reading before you buy.
A pale pastel polo over a matching skort. This is the outfit that looks like spring without shouting about it. Pastels also sit well against the half green, half brown course you get in early April, which is more than bright colours manage.
A floral top over clean white bottoms. Florals are the shortcut to a spring outfit and they work best when the rest of the look stays quiet. Save the white for a dry afternoon round, though, because April grass will find it.
A bright coral polo with a crisp white skort. Coral is the colour I reach for when the sky is grey and the course looks flat. It photographs well and it lifts the whole outfit without needing anything else.
A striped sleeveless polo above a pleated skort. Sporty rather than pretty, and the sleeveless cut gives your shoulder the full turn. Bring a light layer for the first three holes and expect to take it off.
Top and bottom in the same soft pastel. Tonal dressing is the easiest way to look put together, because there is no combination to get wrong. It also makes an ordinary polo look far more expensive than it was.
A polka dot polo over plain bottoms. Dots are the friendliest pattern in golf wear: small enough to read as texture from a distance, distinct enough to be interesting up close. Keep the bottom half solid.
Beige, cream and soft grey layered for a cold start. This is the most useful outfit on the list, because it works at eight in the morning and it still works at noon once the outer layer comes off. Neutral layers also hide a damp hem better than anything.
A fresh green polo with white trousers. Green on a golf course sounds like a mistake and is not: a clean spring green against white reads crisp rather than camouflaged. The trousers keep the wet grass off your legs.
A navy polo over a pink skort. Navy does the serious work and pink stops it from looking like a uniform. If you own one polo and one skort and want them to feel new, this is the swap.
A soft peach top with grey bottoms. Grey is underrated in golf wear because it does not show the course the way beige does, and peach is warm enough to carry a cool morning. This one wears far better than it photographs.
A plain outfit with floral detail at the collar or the hem. If a full floral is too much, this is the version that is not. It is also the easiest way to bring one piece you already own into a spring rotation.
